HALL DIRECTOR

Christopher Newport University invites applications for a possible Hall Director position that may become available late June 2008.
The full time live-in position requires a Master’s Degree in a related field or a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree. The successful candidates must have residence life experience; staff training experience; supervision and staff development experience; conflict mediation skills; demonstrated communication skills; and computer skills. The preferred qualifications include experience in leadership training and crisis response.
Christopher Newport University is a young, selective, state-supported liberal arts and sciences university of approximately 4,800 students. The campus is located between historic Colonial Williamsburg and the ocean resort of Virginia Beach. CNU opened its first residence hall in 1994.
